It's not easy containing myself when, apparently, every other store in town started carrying the expensive diecast cars I used to find in only one single place until now... For this week, I managed to limit myself to only two cars, plus an oldie that got a new, much better set of wheels.
This time, they're all Greenlights, one from the Hollywood series, two from the Motor World series. We'll start with the Olds 442 because, while it isn't a new purchase, I'd left it out due to the crappy stock wheels and interior.
This 442, from Greenlight's Motor World series, received a set of wheels from Johnny Lightning and a mixed interior from two different Hot Wheels cars. The dashboard and steering wheel were taken from a Hot Wheels Bucik GSX, while the tub and seats came from a Hot Wheels '69 Chevelle. It's surprising this stuff will even fit, and even more surprising how much better they are than the original parts, considering both lines' price points. I'm not a big fan of those wheels, to be honest, but they're much better than the underdimensioned wheels that came with the model. I might do another swap in the future when I get a better set. So... welcome aboard, delayed 442!
The first of the actual new purchases is a 1970 GTO from Greenlight's Hollywood series, the movie in question being Two-Lane Blacktop. This car could easily pass for the GTO in Dazed and Confused though...
The final car is the missing third of Ford's Dream Team, the Fusion. This one was actually packaged as a California Collectibles car, but it was recently brought to my attention that all three of the current Fords were actually tooled by Greenlight, with no relation to the High Speed cars used in the same line. The same goes for the 442, by the way.

Wow, a four door Mustang? I didn't even know those existed! But why is it called a Fusion?

Because it fuses two Mustangs into a single car!

Sweet Goat, I have a ton of 1969 Judge diecasts in all sizes that I collected years ago. They are all still in the packaging and safely stored away in plastic bins due to space limitations. I'll get them out again one day or just pass them on to my boys when they are a little older.

So it fuses the 2 2000 edition GTR rotary engines together, too?
